Help!
Hey everyone. For the excerpt from Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, one of the questions for homework asked how a Native American would have felt reading this. Would they have felt something different than the Puritans? Are they suppose to be the sinners no matter what? I guess I just don't understand what difference it would have made. Anyone want to explain??? Thanks!

Well, I will play student because, technically, I'm not your teacher right now. I thought that this question was implying that the Native Americans would be horrified because the majority of them were not Christians and therefore, according to Edwards, would be doomed to an eternity of burning pits of flame. That's a pretty overwhelming thing to find out about yourself. Or, the N.A could think "Hey, this guy is CRAZY" because their religious belief system doesn't support anything Edwards is saying. Just a guess.
PS. Next to is a preposition-it's just a compound one.
